Who We are
At Fundación CulturEC, we believe that Ecuador’s identity is rooted in the dialogue between Cultural Heritage and Natural Heritage. Heritage is not static — it is action, memory, and transformation.
Our name —CulturEC— stands for the culture of Ecuador, and our work embraces both cultural and natural legacies, activating them in an ethical, participatory, and intergenerational way.
What We Do
We strengthen the relationship between Cultural Heritage and Natural Heritage through three main pillars:
Cultural Heritage – Safeguarding traditions, arts, languages, and community memory. Revitalizing practices and spaces, with special attention to the contributions of women.
Natural Heritage – Conserving ecosystems, biodiversity, and landscapes. Promoting ecological awareness and community-based environmental stewardship.
Cooperation & Territory – Integrating both cultural and natural legacies into sustainable local and global models through research, education, and strategic alliances.
